8 to 9k off what price? There is normally very little room to move with price on Atlas since they sell so well. This is a forum of course you will find issues and problems its a forum used to help others to resolve their problems.Well.... reading through the grievance posts on the forum, that may explain the deep discounts offered. I mean, is the Atlas that unreliable? I see quite a few issues with transmission, after sales support, part availability, poor road assistance on new vehicles idled after a few days... should I stick to Honda?
I would request the out the door price. I would assume they are packing on extra to make up the discount. In PA I wasnt able to 2020 SE with Tech for under 422021 Atlas AWD SEL Dark Grey / Brown MSRP: $45,980, sale $36,924 (disc $9,056). Most VW dealers in the DC/VA/MD are advertise Atlases online at discounts ranging from 5k to 7k which makes the car a very good buy compared to the competition. I wanted a Kia Telleride or Hyundai Palisade but those sale at or above MSRP, especially the Telly. And yes, I do understand most people post on car forums to resolve issues, nevertheless, I am a bit shocked by the amount of “problem” post. I stopped by my local dealer today to check the car But did not have give time to test drive. I am quite impressed by the interior quality and design, and the base equipment package even on the SE is quite impressive. I just hope it is reliable. I am only 5 minutes from the dealership so any issue would be easy to address now but we are planning to move out of town and there, the next VW dealer will be 2hrs away....
Correct, out of the door price would be:I would request the out the door price. I would assume they are packing on extra to make up the discount. In PA I wasnt able to 2020 SE with Tech for under 42
Good Deal I would take that an run. In PA used ATLAS if you can find them pull almost that much money.Correct, out of the door price would be:
MSRP less discount: $36,924
Dealer processing fee: $500
Destination: $1,020
Non-Tax fees (title, tags and reg): $280
MD sales tax (6%): $2,306
TOTAL out of the door: $40,750
Still a good deal...

I live in New jersey and went to Sterling VW in Sterling VA to buy my Atlas. It was a 3-1/2 hour drive and well worth the trip. You can go on Cargurus.com and look at the new car pricing. New Jersey won't give you as good a deal. I looked initially at a dealership in MD but they had a lot of hidden charges which materialized when I asked for a firm quote. I bought my 2019 SE w/Tech and got about $8K off. I had a 2005 Toyota 4Runner which I traded in for the Atlas. What should I pay for these two in New Jersey?
1. MSRP $45,339,Atlas cross sport SE V6 R line w/Technology 4 motion
2. MSRP $48,069, Atlas cross sport SEL V6 R line 4 motion.
What other SUVs did you consider buying? I’ve had a 2005 Toyota 4Runner SR5 for 15 years 205,000 miles and looking to try something new.

The Atlas is a big vehicle, hardly as robust as the 4Runner. The gas mileage is better than the 4Runner but I sincerely doubt if it will go 250K trouble free miles. I drove mine for 180K miles and did nothing but put new tires and brakes into it. I wanted something with lane assist, blind spot monitoring and the Atlas seemed to fit the bill. They offered a 6 year warranty so I felt it wasn't a bad deal.
If the 4Runner had the assistance systems and if they put a 6 speed transmission into it, I would have gone again with a 4Runner.
