I recently started receiving this error for no reason, just within 15 seconds of starting the vehicle while being parked in my driveway or even being stopped at a red light. After getting this error message and the constant beeping, the emergency brake turns on and the window from behind the driver's door lowers like 5 inches from the top. At this point, I cannot lower the window and I cannot turn off the emergency brake. So in order to reset, I have to turn off the engine then open it behind the driver's door(where the window is lowered) and when closing it back I turn on the engine. This makes the error go away, everything goes back to normal. So ODD but so annoying too. This has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Don't know what triggers this. Does anyone with a similar issue?

Then a few weeks ago my driver door lost all access to the auto locks, windows, ect. When I took it to the shop they said they could not get the warrenty company to cover it because there was no error light or code (of course when something goes wrong, it doesn't do the tricks for the mechanic that it does for you)!

I was afraid of that happening so I got my phone camera ready before starting my car a 2020 Atlas Cross Sport with 22k miles on it. I was able to video the entire sequence of beeps, slams, lights flashing. I have meeting tomorrow with the regional mgr of Volkswagen. I’m scared to drive my car now. 70 yrs old, alone, recall already done for door contact switch. Obviously that failed!

Same problem in my 2019 atlas, just bought it last monday from dealer, used. Previous owner said to me he already change that in the 4 year he got it, now the same thing? not normal at all

same thing happened with my 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport but actually the 4th time. They repaired the wiring, then something went wrong in the door handle, then again in the door handle now again. At this point do I need a new door??? Like what other options are there??

Driver side door won't open in cold weather from the outside. It opens easily from inside the car and shuts too. Now the instrument panel shows the door open and the car cannot be put in drive. even after repeated opening and closing the door icon stays on and you can't move the vehicle. I left it running with heat on and after 15 min the icon disappeared and I could drive the car. Waiting for two weeks to get into my local VW dealership. Not a happy customer
