Hi! I have done research for the lowering of the side view mirrors. It’s a couple more steps. You have to set one of your seat settings to the level you want lowered. Save the seating, press the button when you want to back up, especially in a parking spot. I know , annoying right? I also have a glitchy infotainment system. My screen freezes or my audio won’t connect. I have shut my car off and open my driver side door to completely shut the system down. Wait a few seconds and then start the car up. I love my 2025 Atlas Cross Sport T line , but man some of the “features” are a pain! I hope this helps.
We got a 24 SEL Premium R line .....The "premium sound system" by HK- (I wont dignify them by using their whole name)- is THE CRAPPIEST and most ANEMIC I've ever heard in the last 35 years in any vehicle....a TRUE JOKE and an insult to sell it as "premium" .....Had a '18 SEL 4 motion V6, and while its bass was very good (not audiophile though) That Fender system at least approached the "punch" a subwoofer should have....the 24 R premium system is an absolute JOKE. HK should be embarrased to put their name on such an awful system.

If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes I wouldn’t believe there’s a subwoofer in back.

I purchased a 2025 ACS SEL Premium R Line just a month ago, and I hate this car. It is just awful. It does help that the dealership has proven itself to only care until the purchase is complete, and they are silent. I just picked it up from the dealership yesterday to have them look at a list of about seven items that were not working. Many of the answers were "working as designed," which translates I don't know and don't care. I cannot believe I left Subaru. I don't expect to have this car long.
I just traded my in. Nothing but problems

VW finally bought mine back! After 4 months of back and forth its finally gone! Thank goodness this nightmare is over. I've owned A LOT of cars in my life and this by far was the worst experience ever. Check the lemon law in your state and see if your Atlas meets the criteria. Mine did. Ended up hiring a lawyer and got a full refund (VW has to pay for the lawyer).

I purchased an optioned-out 2024 Atlas RLine SEL, a few months ago. This is my fourth VW and I am totally pleased with the vehicle. It is an excellent fit for my family, and the granddaughters love the 2nd row captain's chairs. Plenty of space for everything along with a comfortable ride. I was cautious with the 2.0 turbo, but soon discovered that it has plenty of power for my needs. Gas mileage is great and I've have no issues (have 4k miles so far). Having owned high-end luxury sedans (Lincoln, Acura, Lexus, Mercedes Benz, and BMW), this VW pushes into near luxury territory.

I used to like my 2024 atlas until I get in it and it would not move out of park Position. Had the vehicle towed from my driveway to the nearest Volkswagen dealer Smithtown NY ( mistake 1). Error transmission would not come out of emergency mode . represented stated that water was in the gear box they determined it was externally done! How I would love to know how. Only 11800 miles on it now the dealership states not covered under warranty because it’s somehow my fault that water entered the gear box🤷🏽‍♀️. What ? Call customer service they stated the dealer is the ears and eyes 👀 of the situation and they stand by them . ( totally confused now) . I need to speak with the department with the brains clearly it’s not the dealership or customer care or is that customer I do not care department . Now in order to get my car it will cost me over $500 . Guess I have to call Nina Pineda eyewitness news to see my next course of action. Since I was basically called a lair. Oh did I mention this is the second time this happened? PG Brentwood NY

Our 2018 is phenomenal. Granted the OP has a 2024; I can’t imagine quality has gone down that much in a few years. We just hit 120K miles and it’s been problem free. Kept up with maintenance and fluid changes. Sorry for the back luck of the original poster. There’s always as much good to balance out the bad.

Well, I hate to hear those comments because my experience has been just the opposite! I bought my 2024 Atlas SEL Premium R-Line almost a year ago and absolutely love it...❤ I now have about 4,500 miles on it and it has performed "flawlessly!" I have NOT had one single issue since driving it away from the dealership. There are a couple of things that I think VW should fix to improve it, but they are not anything big. In fact, I have been so impressed with my '24, I have considered trading for a '25! Sorry you have had such a bad experience...☹
I purchased a 2025 Atlas SEL R-line and have had nothing but problems, from water leaks in the rear lights to losing the turbo. This is the second time in the dealership for a loss of power and acceleration issue, and wouldn't you guess, they couldn't find any problems. I can't believe I drove the car on 95 north for 60 miles without the turbo, and they tell me the ECM didn't pull a code. Go figure. I'm not going to let up because this is a safety issue.

I have a 2019 Altas VR6 SE and will probably keep it after my 6yr 72k warranty is done in feb 2026. The 2L Turbo is way to small for a 5000 pound vehicle. Nothing but problems.

Sorry your disappointed as I would be also. I own a one of the first 2020 Atlas CS SEL PREMIUM V6 (now 87k ) and I can say no no problems period. It is dealer maintained and keep it that way. Yea , after reading about ALL the issues others are having with the "NEWER ATLAS" I'm Keeping MINE !!

What you don't have issues with the seat material ? My wife hates it. Every bit of dirt gets in those little holes and says they are not as comfortable on long trips as her top of the line KIA with leather was. I tend to agree with her , VW should have made better comfortable seating.
