Does anyone actually like their Atlas? Just bought a brand new Atlas back in June and have put about 2,000 miles on it. Check engine lights have come on twice, the screen goes static like an old school TV, and it just seems like to lack power and sounds terrible driving up hills.

Already has been to the dealership twice - they claimed they replaced the thermostat, updated the software for the infotainment screen, replaced the water pump. So after having the car for about 60 days, I've been without the car for nearly 10 days over that duration.

After getting it back from the dealership both times, the car drove fine for about a week and seemed to lose engine power and begin having electrical type problems again. Got the car back last week and I'm dropping it off again tomorrow, for the third time, and hopefully just selling it back to them but wanted to get some feedback before doing so.

Our main vehicle is a 2023 Chevy Suburban Z71 and we traded in our 2020 Volvo XC90 for this car - this car is complete trash compared to those 2 vehicles and really regretting trading in the Volvo now.
I have a 2020 Atlas and love it! I bought it after renting one for a vacation trip

Watch this video from CAR WIZARD 2.0T ALWAYS A PROBLEM. MY 2010 A4 MOTOR BLEW UP A WHILE BACK.

traded my 2022 atlas v6 SEL p for the 2024. I turned off engine noise with OBD. Tuned it,and performs flawlessly since. Now it goes! 😂 I did apr 93 octane tune. Transforms atlas into quite the suv. No leaks, noises, nothing. I’ve always been happy with Volkswagen vehicles, I’ve owned Toyota, gmc, Nissan, Honda, Volvo, bmw. Always sway back to VW. sounds like you have a few software glitches, but not a reason to think otherwise of the manufacture.
Great to hear. I did the APR stage 1 so I could keep using 87. What's even better than the extra 50hp is how linear the transmission shifts. It's like butter and rows through the gears smoothly. I have 2wd so programmed it to be a 4wd so it would turn off the retarding to limit wheel slip. Now I get full power and it is very noticable. Since you have a 2024. What power/TQ increase were you able to pickup from the 93 tune ?

I have a 2024 ACS SEL Premium R Line. This is the worst new car I have ever purchased. It has about 3k miles on it now and I’m taking it in for service next week. I have a rattle in the dash, sounds like it’s coming from the heads-up display. The interior trim panel on the driver side C pillar is also vibrating/rattling and there is a rattle coming from the liftgate. The tech in the car is glitchy and takes turn freezing, loosing connection, or just not working. I have the Harmon Kardon stereo and it sucks. There is no bass even though there is a subwoofer in the back. The center channel pops like it has a bad ground when you start the car. And the side view mirrors don’t lower when in reverse (yes the feature is activated).
Hi! I have done research for the lowering of the side view mirrors. It’s a couple more steps. You have to set one of your seat settings to the level you want lowered. Save the seating, press the button when you want to back up, especially in a parking spot. I know , annoying right? I also have a glitchy infotainment system. My screen freezes or my audio won’t connect. I have shut my car off and open my driver side door to completely shut the system down. Wait a few seconds and then start the car up. I love my 2025 Atlas Cross Sport T line , but man some of the “features” are a pain! I hope this helps.

So...I'm almost older than dirt, but thought I might bring some perspective to problems with vehicles. In 1975 I bought a new '74 Ford Pinto station wagon. We were young, broke and had a baby on the way. We did have some new vehicle issues with the Pinto. However, we drove that **** thing for almost 200,000 miles relatively trouble free if I recall. Others barely made it off the dealers lot. Some labeled that vehicle one of the worst and would never buy a Ford again. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

It’s kinda like our experience with our car. We have a 2022, it’s been pretty bad. Problematic and disappointing. We will not get another one after our lease ends. However, there’s people that have/have had positive experiences, so I can’t say that my experience will apply to others.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience with your Atlas. I bought mine in 2018 SEL with the V6. My only complaint is with the cruise control feature throwing an error everytime you remote start the car first. It is a known problem and VW is doing nothing to address it. I have the same problem with my 2022 VW Tiguan. I would check with your state's Lemon Laws if you continue to have the same electrical gremlins. If you sell it back you only lose money, but if it qualifies as a Lemon, most states force the dealer/manufacturer to refund your money. If tlyou go this route and they give you a hard time, go pay the fees for an attorney that specializes is lemon law returns...you may save more money in the long run.

I own a 2024 Atlas SE Cross Sport and have really enjoyed it since February. I have had good service after going through a learning curve on all of the "buttons and settings". The internet helped be with most of that.
I regret that some of you have not had a good experience but, up to now, December 18, 2024, I have been completely satisfied with my Atlas. Tazewell Eure

I think it could be an option… based on the stuff that’s been happening, it could be a lemon

I purchased a 2025 ACS SEL Premium R Line just a month ago, and I hate this car. It is just awful. It does help that the dealership has proven itself to only care until the purchase is complete, and they are silent. I just picked it up from the dealership yesterday to have them look at a list of about seven items that were not working. Many of the answers were "working as designed," which translates I don't know and don't care. I cannot believe I left Subaru. I don't expect to have this car long.
