I have a 2022 Atlas SEL R LINE, and suddenly the navigation system deleted all stored addresses. Any solution or someone with similar issues?

Same problem with my '22 Atlas SEL with Navigation. I had three addresses entered and saved. The next day they were not showing. This has happened twice after re-entering the addresses and saving as a destination. Powering off the Atlas, and turning back on within a few minutes, the saved destinations show. It was after not running the Atlas for hours that the saved destinations would not appear on startup.
Anybody have a solution or answer?

I had the same issue, even more:
  • the navigation did not remember the last destinations
  • no backup camera when reversing!
  • error messages: road signs error, stability control error
The dealer replaced the control module F5, and those issues are gone. But, I have other issues with transmission - I will post it in other areas.
Ah, and of course, it was on back order so I had to wait a couple of weeks.
Document everything and pressure the dealership!

Glad to learn that replacing the module on your Atlas resolved the problems you listed. Few days ago, at an appointment to correct my "deleted addresses", they did a diagnostic. Tech determined the control module was performing with no errors. So they are reluctant to replace it. Yet my problem persists.
I don't like the possibility of my dash getting scratched up, however I plan to pursue changing out the module.
If anyone else has had repair of their navigation, I'd sure like to know about what was done. Thanks.
PS: I've been using Google Maps as my primary navigation. Far superior to what VW installed and overcharges for.....

No fix..... After several visits, including dealer keeping my Atlas overnight, I was told that the built-in navigation system was performing as programmed. I was even referred to the owner's manual where they put a "spin" on the verbiage to support their answer. Supposedly the shop foreman called his counterpart at VW America who reinforced what I was told.
I don't agree that "only those more frequently used destination addresses are saved." Contrary to the manual that clearly states "up to 50 addresses can be saved." Tired of the run-around, I haven't pursued it further with VW. Neither the local VW dealer or up the chain.
My navigation works fine otherwise. Yet I prefer using Google Maps which is far superior to what VW has installed in vehicles. The built-in nav becomes a backup. Only wish I had done my homework, and I would have deleted the navigation in my build-out.
I'd still like to know if others with this problem have it corrected. Replacing the control module has been reported by some as taking care of the problem.

Ours started doing this after bringing it in for the door harness and some kind of update to the software, something to do with the camera. Ever since then, our system will nit save any addresses at all. This is a problem because once you are rolling, you cant do anything with it unless there are saved addresses, such as home or work. I have to bring it in for several other things and this is on the list.

I kind of wish that they used the passenger occupancy system to allow the passenger to use the navigation while in motion. My F-150 did this after asking "Are you the passenger"

I have the same problem with my 2021 Atlas. When I brought it in for service I mentioned the issue, they said I needed an update and they did that. It worked fine for a day or two and then wouldn't save any addresses again. I didn't bother to bring it back again, I just lived with it. Now I only have 2 months left (it's a lease).

I also wish it asked the passenger question. I had an Explorer before the VW and it did that.
