2021 Volkswagen Atlas Brake Issues – Seeking Others with Similar Problems

Hi all,
I’m reaching out to see if anyone else is dealing with persistent brake issues on their 2021 Volkswagen Atlas. After a recent call-out on social media, I’ve connected with four other Atlas owners who are experiencing the exact same problems and, unfortunately, receiving little to no support from Volkswagen.

To be clear, the issue involves serious concerns with the braking system, and it seems that this is a widespread problem that’s not being adequately addressed. Myself and the others have spent/spend handsomely to own these luxury vehicles and are frustrated by Volkswagen’s refusal to take responsibility for what seems to be poor manufacturing on a 2021 vehicle breaks, if not more.

I’m currently looking into legal advice and exploring the possibility of joining forces with other affected owners for a class action if VW continues to deny us any attention.

If you’ve had similar brake issues with your Atlas (2021 model), I’d love to hear your experiences and discuss next steps.

Also to not the this has been the case since I bought the car new, replaced the breaks and still the sound persists.

i am staring a small claims against VW for knowingly selling a product that they new had defective inadiquite breaks - happy to have private messages on this

Hello Judy, I have a persistent issue on my 2021 Atlas Cross Sport braking system and I was just searching online to see if there are any reports of the same issue by other owners. I cannot see what your issue is, what you are experiencing but can say what I am experiencing. Often when I brake, there is a gurgling sound, the sound of liquid bubbling and another sound. I have been told it is nothing to worry about several times. (I will add here, my husband has a 2020 Atlas Cross Sport and it does not do this, we live in the same home, work in the same office so drive the same routes etc so the conditions the vehicles are subjected to are the same). I've been told several times its just dirt build up on the brake pads .... how can this be considering we have 2 of the same vehicles exposed to the same conditions and one vehicle doesnt have this issue. This week my car shut down while i was driving, lost power and shuddered. The EPC warning light came on. My car has at the dealership and I am waiting to hear what the issue is) . I again expressed this persistent issue with the brakes and I was now told this is not an issue, poses no threat or danger, it is a glazing on the rotators ... that this can happen if they are hot and come into contact with cold water. I feel like I just cant make headway on this. It is unnerving, how do you drive your family around feeling like you are safe with this persistent issue. Also now questioning if this is having an impact on other systems since the EPC came on and the car shut down. This is my first time on this platform so not sure how to reach out to you.
