2023 Atlas V6 AWD owner for a few years now. Love the interior and comfort while driving long distances (5+ hours). Accelerates like a bus but otherwise has been very reliable. Adaptive cruise control is a life saver as my leg tends to cramp up and ache otherwise. Interior space was a huge selling point for me, I especially like how the back hatch is at a steep angle leaving me plenty of cargo space unlike what many modern SUVs where the back is hatched off for the sake of being more aerodynamic and look sleek (don't care about that). No issues driving in the mountains during rain/light snow. Infotainment system is garbage and questionable interior light button operation choices by VW but definitely not deal breakers for me.

2020 Atlas CS V6 SEL Premium with now 90k miles on it. My servicing Dealership keeps wanting me to trade it in. I keep telling him I'm keeping my V6 . Enough said!
Don't trade that V6. The 2L turbos are junk. My 2019, 40k miles, oil and filter every 4000miles. Just maintain it, thw dealer wants me to also trade. No Way. Good luck with yours. I will keep mine beyond the warranty. Maybe get a extended warranty.

I realize that most come to the forum when they have issues and are looking for solutions. I just purchased a 2025 Atlas Cross Sport and am hoping to find good stories/experiences with their Atlas.

I had a 2019 Audi A6 and saw the many issues others had. However, call it the luck of the draw, I had zero issues that were not covered by warranty or recall.

I do meticulously maintain my vehicles, which may lead to my good results. So I hope to hear some good reports from this thread.

Love mine and i am very meticulous on the maintenance. I have not had the vehicle leave me on side of road and i have 114,000 on a 2020 SEL R Line V6 I have had to change tires out several times and i just changed the brakes and back shocks and have front struts in a few weeks. I did lose the fuel pump in the tank and ever since they repaired at the dealership i have had incorrect fuel levels and the CEL from Purge Valve, now a bad fuel sensor and the evep emission system which i think is the canister. I Love the vehicle as its large and i am 6'4 255 and most vehicles just will not work. The front nose is a bit large and its hard to tell where you are but after a bit you get used to it. The open road from Seattle to Montana is where most of the miles come from in both heat and blizzards. Performs excellent in snow and rain with the Pirelli. I am considering the cross contact but not there yet.

ITS A GREAT VEHICLE with a very nice profile and it really feels good doing 85 down the interstate with a full complement of suitcases etc. I bought mine through the friends and family as a buddy worked for VW and that made it even better. All vehicles have problems but this one has not stranded me like my last vehicle the 2017 Explorer with 93k miles having the rack go out in middle of Wyoming. Drove it to Oregon without power steering. UGH After that i went with this vehicle and i have decided to keep it, and have heard of this year getting over 250k miles and that makes me smile.

Its not an Audi but it certainly is a good vehicle

Have had 6 Audis. 2 TTs, an A6, 2 Q7s and an S5. 19000 miles on this Atlas now and it’s pretty darn close. ( Now if they’d just come through with those updated engine covers ——)

Glad im not the only one who loves their Atlas CS. Funny , has anyone looked at the VW web sight for the new Atlas 's ? Look very closely on the Interest rate that VW offers. Foe the NON Cross Sport VW dealers here offer 1.9 % and if you decide on the CS that interest rate goes up to 2.9 % .. What does that say ,it tells me the CS is selling alot better than the normal Atlas.

2024 has next gen 2L (Evo4), results may be different. New 2L is 269HP, close to V6 power.

Last year, you could get an Atlas with a tubocharged four-cylinder TSI engine or a workhorse VR6. This year, a new 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo TSI is your only option. The new engine produces up to 269 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. That's roughly the same as last year's VR6 (276 hp, 266 lb-ft) and far more than the outgoing 2.0-liter unit (235 hp, 258 lb-ft).
This is from: Autoweek

My ACS, despite being over 800 lbs heavier and physically larger, gets higher fuel mileage then my 2016 Tiguan did with the "Same" motor. Tig was 200HP from 2L, Atlas is 269 HP from 2L, and to top it off, the Atlas runs on Regular, saving me about $0.40 a gallon in NJ.
Highway has been about 2MPG better than the old Tiggy, and 1 MPG better around town. Changing to reg. fuel was a big plus for me.

The only drawback to the Atlas for me, is the digital cockpit. I prefer knobs and dials and switches. However, most , if not all new cars are going to this stupid interface. Too distracting.

Happy with my 2018 VR6, over the 140,000 mark. Don't believe the 10K service interval, those were created to lower the cost of ownership statistics not because the engines and oil filters were changed to allow for that. VW services mine every 10K and I change the oil 5k after that.
