Are there any good experiences with their Atlas?

I realize that most come to the forum when they have issues and are looking for solutions. I just purchased a 2025 Atlas Cross Sport and am hoping to find good stories/experiences with their Atlas.

I had a 2019 Audi A6 and saw the many issues others had. However, call it the luck of the draw, I had zero issues that were not covered by warranty or recall.

I do meticulously maintain my vehicles, which may lead to my good results. So I hope to hear some good reports from this thread.

Bought our '24 Peak SE Edition July '24. Just returned from an 800 mile plus 4 day trip, averaged 27 mpg. Now has over 18k. I have towed 3500# for about half of those 18k, miles, anyway...have had NO issues. My last vehicle, a 2017 Ford Expedition stranded us twice with fuel pump problems in the 1st 5k, then performed flawlessly for 160,000 miles. People with no problems don't tend to post on forums. Don't let the negative posts influence you. Use them as education.

My 24 ACS SEL R line has no issues other than a very hard to hear wind noise. Everything else not only is working well, buy I am pleased with he overall feel of the Atlas. I purchased it 3/2025. Leftover. I am getting 22.7 MPG mixed driving. This is 1.5 MPG better than my previous 2016 Tiguan SE. Also, the Tiguan used premium (91) gas. The Atlas uses regular (87) octane and is more powerful.

Stupid race: I was at a light in the center lane. A late model Charger (V6 by the sound of it) waas to my immediate left. I needed to get to the right for a right turn so when the light turned green, I did a full send. I hear a lot of noise, and it is the Charger thinking I am racing him. I left the pedal down, and stayed ahead of him until about 50mph, where I had to back down to turn right shortly up the road. Seeing an older V6 charger is about the weight and HP of the Atlas Charger is about 300HP on the v6, Atlas is 269HP, the old teenager in me was pleased to win the stoplight drag race. I was more impressed with the Atlas performance than the lack of performance from the charger.

Anyway, the Atlas CS is just right for me. I can truly say this is the nicest all around vehicle I have owned.

He musta' backed off, or the Charger was not well.

145K miles on 2018 V6. Best car I've had (driver since 1972). Running 3 young kids, several grandkids and big dog it's been great vehicle. Really like large hatch for loading (fits 4 smaller bikes behind 2nd row). Common issue (water pump), but not much else. Brakes lasted 120K and I don't drive slow. 25 mpg highway, 21 city. Interior holding up well and fits three carseats/boosters 2nd row.

We have a 2019 SEL R LINE, and we love it. We did have one major issue- a water pump leak and had to pay to have that fixed despite VW’s extended warranty due to numerous failures. It was just over the mileage limit for the extended warranty. We do make sure it is properly and timely maintained, so there’s that.

Not sure our experience is directly applicable for the newer models, but our 2019 SEL-P has been flawless for 6 years and 86K miles. Scheduled maintenance, new brakes front & rear, and tires has been it.

I thought my wife would want something different by now but she is leaning towards getting another Atlas. Our local dealer is making a compelling case on a 2025 SEL-P R-Line at $8K off sticker, so $49K, and $17K in trade for the 2019. I don't think there is any comparable deal out there for a similar size and set of features.

I loved my 2019 SEL Atlas, no problems!! Then at 60,000 miles and it’s gone to ****! Needed new fuel pump (don’t over fill the gas tank, I ruined something else by doing that!) several other related issues and it’s leaking oil, $3000 in repairs now. The engine light and EPC light came on and I could only drive 15mph, it was terrible and I was freaking out. Loved my Atlas for 6 years and as soon as my warranty expired things went majorly wrong. I am in tears but I am going to unload it and get something new. My husband said, “trade it in before the warranty expires” and I didn’t listen. I really hope everyone else has a better experience. But like it’s been said, most satisfied owners don’t post in these chats.

2023 Atlas V6 AWD owner for a few years now. Love the interior and comfort while driving long distances (5+ hours). Accelerates like a bus but otherwise has been very reliable. Adaptive cruise control is a life saver as my leg tends to cramp up and ache otherwise. Interior space was a huge selling point for me, I especially like how the back hatch is at a steep angle leaving me plenty of cargo space unlike what many modern SUVs where the back is hatched off for the sake of being more aerodynamic and look sleek (don't care about that). No issues driving in the mountains during rain/light snow. Infotainment system is garbage and questionable interior light button operation choices by VW but definitely not deal breakers for me.

Love mine and i am very meticulous on the maintenance. I have not had the vehicle leave me on side of road and i have 114,000 on a 2020 SEL R Line V6 I have had to change tires out several times and i just changed the brakes and back shocks and have front struts in a few weeks. I did lose the fuel pump in the tank and ever since they repaired at the dealership i have had incorrect fuel levels and the CEL from Purge Valve, now a bad fuel sensor and the evep emission system which i think is the canister. I Love the vehicle as its large and i am 6'4 255 and most vehicles just will not work. The front nose is a bit large and its hard to tell where you are but after a bit you get used to it. The open road from Seattle to Montana is where most of the miles come from in both heat and blizzards. Performs excellent in snow and rain with the Pirelli. I am considering the cross contact but not there yet.

ITS A GREAT VEHICLE with a very nice profile and it really feels good doing 85 down the interstate with a full complement of suitcases etc. I bought mine through the friends and family as a buddy worked for VW and that made it even better. All vehicles have problems but this one has not stranded me like my last vehicle the 2017 Explorer with 93k miles having the rack go out in middle of Wyoming. Drove it to Oregon without power steering. UGH After that i went with this vehicle and i have decided to keep it, and have heard of this year getting over 250k miles and that makes me smile.

Its not an Audi but it certainly is a good vehicle

Glad im not the only one who loves their Atlas CS. Funny , has anyone looked at the VW web sight for the new Atlas 's ? Look very closely on the Interest rate that VW offers. Foe the NON Cross Sport VW dealers here offer 1.9 % and if you decide on the CS that interest rate goes up to 2.9 % .. What does that say ,it tells me the CS is selling alot better than the normal Atlas.
