This is something they call Drivers Notes for the VW Atlas. The staff got to spend some time with the Atlas and shared their opinions on it. So far, it looks pretty darn positive.
Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore: I spent a night in the Atlas and generally enjoyed it. It's big, comfortable, looks pretty tough, and has a lot of space.

Associate Editor Reese Counts: The power comes on smooth and predictable and makes the Atlas feel a little more premium than its price might suggest.

Senior Green Editor John Beltz Snyder: I was impressed with the stop/start system. It shuts down quietly and it picks up again the very moment you lift your foot off the brake, allowing one to get right on the gas as soon as the light turns green.

They do claim that it does feel a little breathless and the infotainment is a little "too responsive"

This was tested with the 3.6L V6 AWD btw.

Get up and go is important to me and hearing that the Atlas does it well is great.
Even better that being a big displacement engine we can tune it safety and improve off the line power even more.
