Hello, I've searched the forum for this issue but the last one is a couple years old. I have an appt next week to diagnose whistling noise from the drivers side of my 2021 Cross Sport. One dealer has already told me they don't hear the issue and I'm taking it back to the dealer where I purchased. They say they'll need the car a couple weeks at least. It is a definite, without a doubt, annoying whistle/wind noise at high speeds and it's driving me up the wall. My question is, has anyone here opened a ticket with VW North America before taking their car to the dealer? Because I'll be renting a car during this time, I am wondering if opening a ticket prior to the appt might help resolve the situation. I'm okay without the car for a couple of weeks if the dealer will actually fix the problem, but I fear I'll be back and forth with them if I'm told the problem doesn't exist.
If anyone here has had experience with this issue, I would love to know the solution for my Cross Sport. I so want to love this car...

Do you have roof rack cross bars or any other items such as rain visor on the window?

No, it doesn't have cross bars or rain visor (or anything additional installed.) Thank you!

I’ve had the same issue with my SEL Premium and the dealership couldn’t replicate the sound. I didn’t have time to take them out at the time but I’m going to have to call them back after reading all of these threads.

My 2019 SEL has had this for the past couple months. If the door is wet, from car wash or rain, it gets higher pitched and louder. Wondering if it’s the door seal. I’m bringing the car in soon, I’ll let you know what they find.

2023 CS. No roof rack or other external body units. Purchased new, one month ago.

The first week I had it, my wife and I were driving on the highway, and I literally said - "Do you hear that wind noise?"

Seems to me it is coming from the drivers side. I tried highway speeds with the mirror tucked - no difference.

I have a 2019 SE 4Motion w/tech it had that problem too. I fixed mine by adding a self stick gasket. It looks factory and works great. ALL Atlases can have that issue sad but I figured out how to fix it myself. I’ll post a pick of it tomorrow when it’s light outside.

The side mirrors have been known to cause this issue. Search the forum as I know there are others that have posted including how the dealer fixed it.
