VW Atlas Factory Tours!
I just found that VW offers factory tours of the Chattanooga TN plant where the Atlas is built. Two tours per day are conducted, each is 90 minutes, and there are age and clothing restrictions. More info, and a registration form, is at Volkswagen Group of America
We've toured a Mercedes factory in Germany, and others in the US, including the Airstream plant, and thoroughly enjoyed each. We will have to take our Atlas back to its place of assembly (after all, the engine comes from Germany, the trans from Japan, etc). Hmmm, 600 miles from Chicago, so it won't be until next year - maybe in the Spring, with a sidetrip to Nashville.
