When starting the car in remote start the car sets the temp to 72F plus it has the AC on, is there a way i can change this to a different temp and not have the ac turn on when doing the remote start?

You can. I believe it requires an OBD programming tool or a trip to the dealer. I use OBDeleven but Carista and Rosstech VCD can do it as well.

You want the AC on - it's not blowing cold air when the ambient is cold - it's just drying it. Common misconception. When it's 32 out and your system is set on 72 with remote start, it will try to heat the car to 72 (set point temp, not air temp blowing out). The AC is always defaulted to on with the auto climate control to keep the air de-humidified. In the 10 minutes the remote start works, it will never heat it to 72 so changing it to be a higher setting does zero.
