I have a 2019 SEL Premium. When I use the remote start feature all my radio presets are gone, it doesn't remember I have a Sirrus/XM subscription, and I get the setup screen. My digital cockpit settings are the same though. The only way I can get all my settings back is to turn the vehicle off and restart it like normal from inside the car. Small problem but very annoying especially since I am using remote start much more often on these cold mornings.
Anyone else have similar issues or know of a fix?

Yep...happens. Just switch user profiles from the menu back and forth and they will be back.
It happens to me frequently as well. I find myself restarting the head unit by holding down the volume knob button until the head unit resets (about 10 seconds).

there’s no correction for this?

Another victim of this here. I have to reset the head unit by holding down the power button for about 5 seconds or so.

There's no acknowledgment of this issue?

I have a 2019 SEL Premium 4Motion with only about 1500 miles on it. Started noticing weird electrical stuff like the configuration wizard coming on at every start and not keeping settings, Sirius XM not accessible after using remote start feature (as in I cannot even select if when pressing the band function in the radio menu, it literally will not allow me to select anything other than FM or AM), audio settings (bass, treble, mid, subwoofer) not saving, seat settings do not work, and random flashing of the blind spot warning system when there is nothing next to me. No starting issues at this point and have not had any stalls (thankfully).

Taking it to the dealer for service and will update this post once I get some answers but certainly disappointing to be dealing with this crap on a new vehicle.

Any updates on this issue? Just noticed this problem on our 2019 as the weather has started to chill and we used the remote start for the first few times. Should I take it to the dealer?

Just had this for the first time as well (first it was cold enough and not in the garage since we bought it). At least there seem to be some work arounds, but seems like a strange issue. Also noticed that when you select a radio station it showed the wrong frequency in the digital dash as well as the radio (i.e. picked 94.9 but continues to show 87.7).

Any update on this topic? I've seen this issue across many VW forums so I find it very hard to believe VW doesn't know about this issue? I have the exact issue described on a 2020 Atlas SEL AWD plus now the remote start doesn't work at all either using the key fob or the Car-Net app. The vehicle has no errors that would make the remote start not work but it has been getting colder her so my hunch is that the battery charge may be too low causing the computer to think the car isn't ready to start... but that's kinda the point of remote start right? When it's cold you start the car...???

This car has been a real letdown. Remote start issues, sun roof, suspension that makes kids puke, gutless engine/transmission problems, it’s nothing like my other VW’s.

Are you still experiencing this issue? I just started having this issue with mine.

I have tried turning off the radio and cruise before shutting the car down and it continues to give me fits. Been this way for over a year.

That is so frustrating! I plan to contact the dealer to see if they can give any insight as I've only had the car for about a month 😒

What I found that worked is to just swap between driver profiles if/when this happens. So remote start, get in Atlas, start normally to get out of remote start mode, then if the radio is goofy with the presets, I just swap back and forth from another driver profile and it's sorted. We remote start ours so infrequently b/c we park in teh garage while I've had this issue, I haven't noticed it in a while. VW should be able to get it sorted out but it's been 3 years in mine, again, not a huge issue to me but frustrating for sure.

Yes, this generally works but when its cold outside I get the 39 degree warning popping up (which is ridiculous) and it jumps past the spot where you could select driver. All this for $50k. As an FYI this works as it should in the Porsche, if they can get it then why not VW since they own both. My dealer has gotten the factory installed and hope to get some answers when the Pano roof gets installed (oh yeah thats another issue). I keep telling myself that I knew these had problems when I bought it but it couldn't be that bad, it is.

You can still change the driver profile at any time (even when you are driving) in the infotainment unit....also, when you start it and the 39 degree warning pops up, just hit "ok" button the steering wheel, it will move past it and allow you to make your change. The 39 degree warning is like that on my '03 Passat...it's just a VW thing and there are some great memes about it.

Haven't used remote start again since. Actually have barely driven the car at all (normally in a year we drive 15-18k miles, this year was less than 4k). Nothing has changed software wise so I would expect it to continue having issues. These things rarely (never?) seem to fix themselves, at least in my experience.
