What do you recommend? I notice several that are advertised like the Dawn Enterprise fo about $70.00. Can it be installed by a novice?
How does it look?
Thanks,

Have you gone with something for your bumper yet? I have been looking at some things on Amazon that are for protecting your bumper when loading cargo and looking for opinions. What do you recommend? I don't want any more chrome. I'm thinking of going with black rubber, but my Atlas is black. I think it depends on which color you have and what looks better on yours, chrome or rubber.Just wondering what everyone's experience is with the Chrome Rear Bumper Protection Plate? I need to get something to protect my bumper. I am trying to decide on rubber or chrome. The chrome looks nice, but I am worried about how long it will stay looking nice (minimal scratches?)?
If anyone has experience with this I would appreciate your thoughts!
Thanks!
how well does it fit? Some of the reviews say it doesn’t fit the bevel of the bumper very well.I used this one from Amazon

Easy to install and very functional.

Mine fit perfectly. Here's a YouTube link showing the install process I used. It's the same rear protector as the one I got from Amazon, but this one is from ebay. I used Amazon in case it didn't work I could return it easily. Its held up well and stayed securely attached.how well does it fit? what color do you have and can you share a pic? We've got the OEM chrome protector (came on the car) and I would say that it is prone to scuffing/scratching.
The one time I know that I hit it, I was unloading a heavy suit case and bumped it on the guard and it scratched up the guard a bit.
It is not bad, and I'm not even sure you'd notice it if you did not know it was there.
But if you are worried about the cosmetics of it then be aware it may show some scratches.
looks great on a light car but want to see how it looks on a darker color. selp already has too much chrome on the back including the trim around the bumper so not too keen on adding more chrome. thinking i should keep it as is and install it when the scratches get bad lolOur Atlas is white, and like I said the OEM protector is chrome. This it the only picture I have of it at the moment.
Sorry, try to look through the bike lol.
I think it looks cheap (just my opinion)got a chrome one on ebay and just waiting for rain to die down to install. Barry, what did you not like about it? its plastic and protector itself might get scratched but it should protect the bumper.
if anyone is interested its on ebay for $80 right now...goes for $120+ from vw including tax.

Isn't that the truthhehe beauty is in... i thnk it looks nice and kind of blends in
Got the same item. Easy to install. Looks good. IMO, the black platinum grey looked better then chrome. I put a T hitch bar in the receiver which is also a step. Foot activated lift gate is a challenge but it protects the backside. 🤭I used this one from Amazon
