Been looking at getting an ODB tool (that can do more than just read/clear basic codes). ODBeleven seems to be the main contender for VWs though there are several others out there that are less expensive and wondered if any other Atlas owners had experience with them and any positive/negative feedback.

I know the answer may be: "it depends" (on what specifically you want to be able to do). I have seen a few things on the forum is want to tweak (e.g. default off for stop/start, centering lane assist function, etc.) but also guess I don't know what I don't know about the capabilities, so part of it is exploring options.

Thanks in advance!

OBDEleven is the way. So much info out there on how to use it and the mods you can do (I have a huge sheet of them posted here/around the internet). Works on your phone. VCDS is great but you need a laptop.

I have an old vcds Hex+CAN which does not work with Atlas. :(
I went ahead and got a ODBeleven "Next Gen" - and it works.
I am more used to the VCDS interface vs OBDEleven, but ODBEleven is quite a bit less expensive.

What year is your atlas? I just keep getting mixed information but has anyone had any luck with the OBD pro on a 2022?

VCDS is two parts, the software (vcds) and a hardware connector.
The Hex-can and older devices don't work with the newer UDS.. you need a Hex+V2 or a Hex+net to connect to the newer (2018+) VAG vehicles.
