Greetings,
I just bought a 2018 Atlas 2.0T S model FWD, $27,745 OTD (in Virginia). I'm looking forward to learning all there is know about my new car.
What are the top 3 purchases that are recommended to really enhance the car? I'm thinking weathertech mats...anything else?
Thanks
Dave

We've got the VW monster mats in ours. I like the thickness of the material versus the weathertech mats, but we love the high walls and "bowl shape" the weathertech mats have and feel that they offer greater protection for the interior floors.

We alsp have the VW second row seat protector. The fit and finish are absolutely outstanding, protects the second row from anything our two boys can throw at it. The cover is made by coverking. I highly recommend.

I've alsp installed the VW brand bug deflector and chrome rear bumper protector. The bug deflector has helped protect the hood from some rocks during our 2000 mile road trip and the chrome bumper guard has already taken some scrapes in stride that would have otherwise scratched the rear bumper. It's a PITA to install though...
Welcome to the forum Dave and congrats on the new Atlas! Are you coming from another VW or new to the brand?
Thanks all, really great info here. The atlas i got came with the monster mats, and i really like them. I took the advice about the 2nd row seat covers...i have 2 kids and i know what they’re capable of doing to seats. I am going to look into the bug deflector and led interior lights. This is my first vw, coming over from chevy. I looked at the traverse but the gm dealers didn’t want to budge on price. WV was very competitive, and really went after the sale. It was a great experience.

I heard that FCA and even Hyundai are great with this which sort of makes sense. Both brands have more to prove these days, they aren't nearly as established as they should be. It gets even better for those into pick up trucks.
I ordered the LED kit from deautoled.com which was $58.50 with their summer sale (use code "J10") for 10% off.
Thanks again for all the great tips.
How does the OEM VW bug protector attach? I have been looking for instructions as owners of the other VW SUVs have not been kind in their reviews of the OEM VW bug protector. Any pros and cons in your opinion?
