Hey guys looking for a fix or if anyone else had this issue. I have a 2021 Atlas SEL 4 motion. The gps was working fine however when I went to use it yesterday it was way off. It did not have me driving on the street I was, it could not get the right route to my destination, and now in the app it shows my car in a different location than where it is. Any help us appreciated.

My 2020 Atlas Cross sport just started doing the same. I was going to call the dealership today.

My 2020 Atlas cross sport
My Atlas cross sport did the same thing. It’s a nation wide issue. It will need a new module that VW will have for each vehicle, not interchangeable, your VW dealers will order it for you. I just had mine fixed and it’s working fine now. Thank you,
curt
I’m having the same issue on my 2020 Atlas Cross Sport. I will take it in for service. It looks like the BT phone connection is also not working properly. If I answer a call, the person on the other end can’t hear me. Same issue with my wife’s phone as well. Any one else having this issue as well?

I am same issue on my Atlas SEL V6 2021. I went to VW service and they ordered a module which needs to be replaced as its faulty. That’s the only option to resolve this issue and it seems that it’s a nation wide issue.

The new updated module from VW will fix the BT issue and nav. Thank you
Same issue with BT Phone, Navigation, plus SiriusXM and Car-net remote start not functioning. Just got a beautiful Aurora Red 2020 Atlas Cross Sport SEL R-LIne Oct. 9th 2020. While lovely to look at, she is missing her brains. The Sirius XM radio never worked, despite hours of calls and resets with Sirius. The Car-net worked for the first week or so, then nada. Seems to need an update but the car's computer isn't receiving input (not functioning-no green light between buttons) per Car-net tech. Also, navigation seemed to work upon initiation, but hasn't accurately reflected car's location since Day 2. Kinda funny to see where in the world she thinks we are each AM, but I thought she'd reset. Finally had enough when the Car-Net remote start won't work, as the keyfob remote start range is pathetically short (UNLESS you purchase 'enhanced' remote start-wth?!) and the November temps in Upstate NY are beginning to drop. Plus, the VW blue tooth voice isn't working; I can hear the callers but they cannot hear me no matter what I try. So went to the dealer. The car isn't throwing any errors, but the tech verified all that I said. So they had to call VW tech support who said to try a new computer. Hopefully arrives in 4-6 days. Also, they are replacing the rear window, as the defroster was unable to clear steamed window. Defroster hadn't been 'set' upon manufacture. Hopefully this gets all the bugs out...really want to enjoy this beautiful car without qualifiers!

Are these issues intermittent for you all? My wife's 2021 is having similar issue but not all the time. It's in the shop now and am waiting for the dealer to say no issues/not reproducible. SOS light also came on.

ugh, same exact problem here with Bluetooth and navigation! I enjoyed my brand new 2021 atlas for three weeks without a problem, then the GPS started putting me several miles from where I actually was, and facing in the wrong direction. Shortly after that, I noticed that No one could hear me when I picked up calls. After reading this, I was hoping I could call ahead and have them order the module for me, but they say they have to scan the VIN in order to get the correct module. So I’m dropping the car off tomorrow to be scanned, then have to go back when the part comes in. That’s twice that I have to leave a brand new car at the dealership for this issue, and I can’t help but think that they should be aware of this issue, and fixing it before they hand over your new vehicle! Especially when I haven’t yet been contacted to give my requested 5 star review 🙄
Sorry to hear both of you are having this...to CD Whitfield, it is not intermittent. Once I lost a function, it was gone. It was odd the way it rolled from SatRadio, to NAV, to BT, and then to Car-Net. But none have come back on.

JoSano-I've had a VW Regional Rep contact me, but he doesn't seem to know/acknowledge much. Just wanted to know dealership service I took it into. When I asked him about the prevalence of these issues and how VW is tracking it and addressing it, all he'd say is that the VW Tech staff always monitor customer issues. Very pat, proscribed replies. Regardless, the service manager I went to is wonderful. She wrote out 4 pages of text entries for the service record, and while the service dept. staff couldn't get errors thrown when hooked up, they verified all my complaints in the results of that service record. Can't help but wonder if the service staff all know about these issues, and were being empathetic due to that. Anyhow, my new computer came in today and the rear window is expected in next day or so. Will have service scheduled once that arrives.

Best luck all!!

I have this, dealer diagnosed Dec 4th. New module on backorder, said it would be Jan\Feb, and probably a VW recall. Fun.
Dealer had my 2021 with the same problem for several days. Replaced the Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit but their diagnostics still showed intermittent communication failures. Finally they think they have a solution which involves replacing the keys. Seems weird but they are getting two new keys to replace current keys so we'll see how it goes once they arrive in a couple days.

I had the same issue Nav system was 50 miles off and my microphone stopped working as well. I was able to make calls but no one could hear me. Dropped it off to the service department and just picked it up from the dealership all fixed now. They said that there was a wire short from the head unit and the fin antenna on the roof. Service order stated "Removed OCU and 5F modules to check wires from T2ao to OCU and 5F module per 5F wiring diagram in wire. Found open circuit on both wires to both modules."
Bought my Atlas Cross sport July 2020. Nav system flaked by November. Road sign display comes and goes. Weird issues with Sirius cutting off randomly or failing to change stations until I get a refresh. And the lane assist decides occasionally that I am not holding the wheel. Four trips to dealership, one body control module - back ordered three months - and a new GPS module later. Same issues.

Update: Opened a case with VW to look into issues and consider buy back options. We shouldn't pay for functionality that fails to this extent.

My 2021 Atlas started to have the same problem - GPS location would start our fine but it would start to be off by a block or two and doesn’t know which direction the car is facing after driving for 5 to 10 minutes. I dropped the car off at the dealership last week and they claimed they replaced a faulty car net module. But the issue persists.

Have been trouble free since they replaced the modules AND the keys. Said they were using mine as an example to report on the process so hopefully others can be helped.

Did you get update from them?
