Hi everyone,
When my wife and I were looking to upgrade to a bigger car from our Prius since we are expecting our 2nd child we pretty much had our mind set on the Pilot (we didn't want to go the minivan route). We test drove the Pilot and liked it but we didn't like the new look as it made it look like a minivan. Then we drove past a VW dealership during our test drive and saw the Atlas and decided to go there and test it out also. Good thing we did cause the Atlas, to us at least, outshines the Pilot.
We were stuck on either getting the SE w/Tech or go to SEL trim. That panoramic sunroof is what sold us on the SEL. We ended up getting the SEL w/4Motion. We really wanted white but since we live in Hawaii available stock was very limited and any shipment of the Atlas was few to none and if they were going to get some it would have taken at least 4 months and they weren't even white or in the SEL trim.
Tip if you have access to Truecar pricing (mine was through my work through a discount program from ticketsatwork) you get a great deal. I got our Atlas SEL w/4Motion out the door for $42,103. Dealer was asking $48K but when I showed them my Truecar quote they went with that.
I am not looking forward on seeing what my average MPG will be, since I came from a Prius but that is what I got to live with now.
Next thing is to change the interior lights to LED.
