Welcome to the forum Ernie and congrats on the new car. What else were you cross shopping before deciding on the Atlas? Have you come from another VW or are you new to the brand? Hope that your first few months of ownership are trouble free. Enjoy!

Glad to have you Ernie, welcome. Were you happy with your price out the door? Were you able to get anything extra thrown in?

Congrats on getting your SEL.
Have you looked into any accessories and/or modifications as yet?
No investigation into mods or accessories yet. I only have 4 miles on it so far. I'm watching the online videos, and next I'll read the manuals. There is a lot of cool stuff on this vehicle. Ernie

I intended to go with a GM product - either the Chevy Traverse or Buick Enclave. I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee and had a 2016 Honda CR-V EX-L, which was used as a trade-in with only 8900 miles. I never owned a VW before.

The decision maker was the going to the New England Auto Show in Boston Mass. and sitting in the different vehicles and learning about them from the product specialists at the show.

Sticker price was $50,769, minus $5,593 discount, minus a $500 discount code I got from VW at the Auto Show, then a fair $19,000 trade-in for a Honda CR-V EX-L. I was happy with the price.

Included were some items such as summer and winter floor mats, trunk liner, privacy cover, rear chrome bumper applique, wheel locks, trailer hitch extras, prepaid maintenance schedule, first aid kit, road assistance kit. I'm guessing I got a good deal because the vehicle was in stock.

I have to give Chevrolet credit on coming out with the new Blazer and just when they got started pushing these out to dealers, a 3rd row model was announced.
Would you ever consider going for the new Blazer?

The way it was posted it seemed to me he went with that deal. Can you give a link to the stats on the 3 row. I doubt there is much room in the 3rd row as the blazer is for sure shorter than the Traverse.

Yeah I think he already pulled the trigger on the Atlas. Congratulations Ernie and welcome to the community. From what I've read the new Blazer 'XL' is about 5.5 inches longer than the normal model, and space is looking very tight in the back.

Hello,
I'm a new member and have limited time to decide on which Atlas to purchase the 2.0 or the v6. I don't plan on towing. But the horsepower difference is perplexing. Is there any good reasons to go big or go home?

Go with the Atlas SE front wheel drive with tech package this might be the best combo that might satisfy your needs. The main thing is how much you want to pay.
