Did you change it with a BRAND NEW genuine Apple cord?
I have a Pixel 2XL but with the cable I had been using for mostly power in my other car the first time I attempted to connect to the Atlas infotainment it didn't see it at all, I suspect it was that my cord is a little worn and the connection point is a little more bulbous and doesn't connect as thoroughly due to my phone case cut out.Recently, I have been having issues when connecting to CarPlay. It disconnects frequently and I need to unplug and reattach the cable. I changed the cord with a genuine Apple one, but it still is not staying connected. Before I trade my phone in, does anyone else have this problem?
Does anyone have a good experience with Carlinkit or wireless CarPlay2, etc.Or, do you experience the same connection issues but between the wireless dongle?
Yeah then I got no other suggestions lol.Yes, definitely. I suspect the phone, but wanted to get some opinions.
Trust me, this is not going to help the problem. My iPhone 12 Pro Max is doing the same thing and it's beyond frustrating to have to constantly pull the cord out and reconnect over and over. I honestly think it's a VW issue with their software and its compatibility with Apple. I wish we had the option of connecting wirelessly and it still look the same as when you're connected with the cord, but if you connect via bluetooth you just get a black and white screen and cannot utilize maps or navigation on the LCD.I just wanted to give an update on the CarPlay connection issues. It was my iphone, I broke down and traded in my iphone 7 and I don't have any more issues.
Just started having the same issues with my Atlas. What have they done for you so far?I have a brand new 2021 atlas cross sport. It’s been in twice for audio issues. No one can figure out what is going on with the audio. It won’t work with the USB and it won’t work wirelessly. Like the window sticker says it should. It will connect to be able to get my phone calls and my texts with that Apple CarPlay. And I cannot play Pandora or Spotify. Sometimes will play one song and then it will stop I have no volume. Even when I plug it into the USB it won’t work. Even trying to use the USB without the Apple CarPlay to play my music it’s still has no volume.I have been told by two technicians at two different dealerships it was a chronic issue with the atlas. I think going back-and-forth with corporate offices to try to figure out the remedy. So far nothing has been done. This is very discouraging after spending over $50,000 on a vehicle. I have a 2021 atlas cross sport premium.
Has anybody else had experience with audio issues in their 2021 atlas?
I have taken it to Service three times for documentation. He finally had Corporate take a look at it with some type of prototype update. That didn’t work. they finally put a brand new modular in for the infortainment center it seems to be working better. Now they want to give me a lousy $150 for the inconvenience. I’m fighting them for more. My argument is that this is all on Carfax and the inconvenience was unbelievable. And the car is only three months old and has only 5000 miles on it. My theory is that they’re not gonna do a recall because it’s cheaper to just deal with people as they complain. So you have to write a letter to corporate and rattle some cages. To get them to pay attention to you.Just started having the same issues with my Atlas. What have they done for you so far?
Sorry to inform you that that’s untrue. Volkswagen corporate finally stepped in after complaining enough, and gave me a brand new infotainment center modular. It’s much better.I think that the problem is Apple not VW if you can’t connect. Clearly, Apple is less technologically advanced than Android.
I almost positive is the car computer issue/ I had the same problem over and over.Recently, I have been having issues when connecting to CarPlay. It disconnects frequently and I need to unplug and reattach the cable. I changed the cord with a genuine Apple one, but it still is not staying connected. I had issues with the connection and CarPlay for many months, after dealing with the dealership and with corporate they finally put a brand new radio infotainment center module. So far it has been much much better. I’ve also noticed that if my phone is running in the background a video of or some apps it will not have audio or connect. But the connection issue was resolved once I got the new modular. But they would not do it until I complain to corporateRecently, I have been having issues when connecting to CarPlay.
