New owner of a new to me - 2020 Atlas SE w/Tech 2.0t fwd - black on beige. - the fuel miser family hauler special.
but not new to VW,-4th vw, 2 passat wagons and a golf, now an Atlas, because the '07 passat just isn't big enough. I think the Atlas might just be big enough.

Nice! I went w a new to me 2020 vw cs, because I didn’t need the third row…just extra room for two 70 lb dogs.

aye - our '07 Passat wagon was getting tight with 2 growing kids and 2 dogs. We just didn't have enough space, even with a 18 cuf roof box. And more importantly - our tires would be perilously close to rubbing on the fenders - and would rub when we hit bumps. That's no fun on long road trips.
We needed something bigger, and with more weight capacity. The Atlas made the most sense. I don't know if we will use the 3rd row or not, but I really like the idea of having the 3rd row in the rare case we need extra seats. The Cross Sport is probably good enough for 90% of our usage, - but the three or four times per year - it will be nice to have 7 seats!

Once the check and payments clear - then it's time to spend more money and get all the accessories.. dash cam, roof rack,mud buddy,tonneau/privacy cover and everything else....
