No, this isn’t an Amazon Prime show dedicated to the Atlas. From September 22 until October 1st, subscribers can take part in the Prime Now Test Drive Program, which includes test drives inside a 2018 VW Atlas SEL Premium.

Only available to those living in Los Angeles and Chicago, members can schedule a test drive from the comforts of their own home and even have the test vehicle delivered right to their doorstep, provided that they’re inside of the designated zip codes.

"We know people have limited time and are always looking for convenient ways to test out a new product, and with the Amazon Prime Now service, we are able to bring the all-new Atlas to customers' doorstep," said VW USA exec, Greg Tebbutt.

Each test drive can range from 45 to 60-minute, though you won’t be given free reign as a VW Atlas expert will be coming along for the ride. Once the test drive has concluded, drivers will be encouraged to review both the vehicle and their experience. Not a bad deal overall; feedback in exchange for a test drive inside a 3.6-liter VR6 powered SUV, which costs over $48,490.

Those interested better hurry, because there’s a limited number of Amazon Prime test drive experiences available.

This is interesting. VW is putting a lot of effort to promote this new truck. This is IMO is a good idea as it saves our travel time and we can drive cars in our neighborhood roads which we are well accustomed to. I wish this option was there last month.

This method of advertisement would be effective in other cities too, but it's only limited to Los Angeles and Chicago. Perhaps they can team up with various dealerships to make this a more widespread test drive option.
