No - you should have that checked by the dealer. Perhaps a bad clamp or fuel line that leaks a bit when cold.
We had a similar problem. Turned out we had multiple fuel leaks: leaking O ring, leaking high pressure fuel pump and leaking fuel rail. VW repurchased the vehicle. Dealer thought we were good to go after replacing O rings and HP fuel pump. Drove the car and still had the smell. Required VW engineer to figure it out. It was a lemon and probably not the only one. Do not drive it if you smell fuel!I have noticed a strong gas smell after driving, especially strong after interstate driving. I haven't contacted the dealership yet, I was hoping to get some feedback about what the problem might be or if anyone else had been having a similar experience
This, provided you are under warranty.gas smell = leave at dealer until they figure it out
We have been seeing the fuel injectors leaking at the seals. only leaks overnight after driving.I noticed that my Atlas (4 motion) has a very distinct smell of gaz after the first ignition in the morning. It began to happens now that we have nights below 0C. It smells almost like like a snowmobile.
Anyone had the same experience?
