I noticed that my Atlas (4 motion) has a very distinct smell of gaz after the first ignition in the morning. It began to happens now that we have nights below 0C. It smells almost like like a snowmobile.

Anyone had the same experience?

No - you should have that checked by the dealer. Perhaps a bad clamp or fuel line that leaks a bit when cold.
We are dealing with a similar experience! Fuel smell when starting the car in colder temperatures. Found leaking O ring on injector and leaking high pressure fuel pump. Replaced both and hoped problem was solved. A few days later, started the car and got a a very strong fuel smell. Invoking lemon law and hoping for a buy back. How can you drive a car that smells of fuel? Very serious safety issue.
At first, the dealer suggested that the faulty battery was the cause (fuel would be injected but not burned since the car wouldn't start).
But the new battery works fine (yeah!) and now that the cold weather is back, the smell of fuel is also back.
I'll bring the Atlas back to the dealer. Again.
I have noticed a strong gas smell after driving, especially strong after interstate driving. I haven't contacted the dealership yet, I was hoping to get some feedback about what the problem might be or if anyone else had been having a similar experience
gas smell = leave at dealer until they figure it out
Gas smell = fuel leaks

We had a similar problem. Turned out we had multiple fuel leaks: leaking O ring, leaking high pressure fuel pump and leaking fuel rail. VW repurchased the vehicle. Dealer thought we were good to go after replacing O rings and HP fuel pump. Drove the car and still had the smell. Required VW engineer to figure it out. It was a lemon and probably not the only one. Do not drive it if you smell fuel!

This, provided you are under warranty.
Same Issue here new 2019 Atlas less than 5,000 miles and 6 months old. Strong gas smell inside after driving and parking and returning to car and check engine light on.

Just had Roadside tow to Dealership to check issue Sept 2019. Will keep you posted.

We have been seeing the fuel injectors leaking at the seals. only leaks overnight after driving.
