Small round fastener?

I was changing the floor mat in front of the driver seat and found this. It reads VW AG DE TED 21C on one side, TED 22B on the other. I can't for the life of me find where it goes.

Any idea why I would find one under the seat when the door panel hasn't been off? From what I can find it isn't even a part for an Atlas.

Congrats on your new Atlas matthewschmidt80.

The few searches I tried do show this clip is used on the Atlas. With the attached photo I can see this clip being used in several points.
