Hey everyone, first post on here, but a LOONG story.. My wife ordered an R-Line black, 2wd, with shetland interior. We were told 4 weeks (was ordered on July 1). After 5 weeks we talked to the dealer and said whats happening? They said oh, it may take a little longer. 8 weeks go by and still nothing.. We were told a another week or so, an still nothing. I went by and asked them what the hold up was and they said they were having issues printing the window sticker. NOW we got to 13 weeks and I said to **** with this. We looked online to find another one and we fond one about 2 hours away. Drove there, found a nice 4wd SEL for the SAME price, so we jumped on it. Very happy with the purchase (its my wifes car), and I hope to drive it haha

Glad to hear that you finally got the Atlas you were waiting for. From the sounds of it, the first dealership had limited number of allocations for a specific build and what you wanted wasn't part of what they'd be getting.

Now you just have to make a few grocery runs to fully enjoy the new Atlas.

Have you had a chance to test how bad or good its body roll is? In some reviews from potential customers I heard how bad body roll is. If really bad that could be a deal breaker for me... sad to say. In for hearing your feedback.

I have a trip up the mountains this weekend so I'll get a report back to ya, BUT in saying that, I also realize that this is an SUV and not a Corvette. If it is a little wonky, I bet a set of sway bars would help it out. Either way, I'll report back soon!!

Already I have a feeling that someone will come out and suggest the Atlas can use a tune, but part of that will be due to a vehicle or vehicles they're coming from. Looking forward to your feedback.

everything goes better with tuning:laugh:I've got a diesel truck and know all of the wonderfulness that goes with tuning, but I digress. Tuning will help out, but I will say that only after 600 miles my wife is getting roughly 25 mpg on the highway. Usually in my experience, it takes at least 3k or 3500 miles before the engine gets its groove. this is all while she's driving about 77mph on the highway. As for your earlier question, body roll...I didn't experience anything that was excessive for a semi- full sized SUV. This was going up mountains of NC. The only thing that I really don't like is how bad the radio/infotainment area gets finger prints (very small issue). the lane assist takes a little bit of getting used to, but it works great. Almost a little TOO good when the crew that makes the lines, spilled some paint, and people made tracks in different directions. This is a great vehicle and if you're on the fence, don't, its a great ride!!
Thanks for the report - we ordered in August, were told end of Sept. Now it's end of Oct. If it's not in, we may do some shopping as well. Cars in our exact spec have shown up at other dealers.
