It was nearing time for a new set of tires for my Atlas.
I was debating with going with something "stock" vs going all terrain.
Well I just had a set of Falken Wildpeak A/T Replacement Tires installed.
I am super happy with them so far and I think my Atlas drives better with A/T.
Headed to the desert this weekend to see how they do off road.

Im on the fence between these tires and the Michelin CrossClimate2. I hate that tires can have such a dramatic effect on the overall experience, yet also can be a $1,200 mistake. My hesitation on the Falken tires is the weight, they are heavy.

Going to try 255/55-20 as I think the car rides like a steamroller.

How did these work out for you?

My OEM continentals ride real nice but are $250 each plus taxes to replace. I have 17000 on them.
My stock Continentals have been great. I drive the car super aggressively on trashed NY roads. I swapped out air for nitrogen and have rotated them every 5-6k miles. I've logged 29k miles over the past three years and they have plenty of life left. I'd expect them to need replacing at 40k.

I like the oem 20 inch contis. They ride nice on local and highway roads. Pricey but worth it. Rotate front to back ONLY, every 5000 miles. NEVER CROSS SIDE TO SIDE, you will have a vibration and wonder why. Be sure to instruct the tire people when doing the rotation. Mark them to be sure they do it right.

I am "pretty happy" with them.
I like the "beefier" feel and look they give the car.
I think my MPG is down a little - however the atlas is already a tank and I was getting lower than advertised MPG from the start.
I get a solid 15 MPG around town and then 20 MPG on the freeway.

It is the 4 motion and I do 99% driving around town.

They ride nice - I personally did not really notice a difference between the Falken and the Stock tires (well at least of what I can remember).

With the stock tires, I did get stuck in the snow - hoping that won't happen this year with the Falken... TBD

My 2019 wheels are the same. Be sure the paint is not peeling off. Dealer replaced 3 of the 4 UNDER WARRANTY. However, you have to be firm with them. I have a copy of the reciept that they replaced them under warranty if u need proof. My 2019 factory warranty is 6yr/72k and I have 4 more years left.
