Not yet an owner but test drove every 3 row suv out there and love the atlas. I tend to keep my cars till they pretty much die.. Does VW offer extended warranty? Does anyone know costs or if i can buy them after the fact? Couldn't get a good answer from any of the 3 dealers i went to. Anyone have any options on reliability of engine and transmission would be appreciated..

you have to talk to the right person. Typically salesmen won't discuss warranties on purpose. They want you to buy the vehicle then negotiate terms. you have to ask the finance guys, even then they hold that stuff to their chest. We didn't need to purchase an extended warranty because we will pay it off by 5 years and drive under 12k miles a year. oh, we don't keep cars much after 5 years.
