Car Seat Questions

We've got a second child on the way and are considering an Atlas. Curious to see if anyone on this board has experience with the following.

The car seats we plan to use are:

Chicco KeyFit30 Infant for the newborn
Graco 4ever rear-facing for our toddler

Can we fit the Graco rear-facing on the outboard passenger side, the KeyFit30 in the middle, and use the driver's side for someone to sit and/or for third-row access?

Alternatively, can one of the seats slide forward with the KeyFit30 base installed? I know it works with a forward facing seat -- but will the KeyFit base work?

Thanks!

We have a 2nd child on the way as well and we currently have a Britax Boulevard Clicktight front facing in the passenger side. We have the UppaBaby Mesa for the 2nd child when she comes.

The way we were thinking of positioning the car seats for people to sit and have access to the 3rd row was to place the Britax front facing on the driver side and the UppaBaby rear facing in the middle. This way it will leave the passenger side open for someone to sit and if we need access to the 3rd row the passenger side move independently.

Both bench seats slide forward.
If you already have the seat, you could always ask the dealer if you can try installing it in their showroom model.

That is what I did when I test drove one. I brought my whole family and test drove with them inside. Installed our Britax Boulevard clicktight and even put our uppababy vista in the back to check cargo space. I did that when I test drove all the SUVs I was considering.

Did you go with the atlas eventually? Would you recommend it?
I've been hunting for a good car seat for weeks now. I wouldn't have guessed that it such a tedious job. After being disappointed with the negative reviews on amazon. I checked out some online blog reviews. Well I got my ear full of features and hype. So there wasn't any useful in them what so ever. After a bunch of surfing I came across a different blog. These guys actually have tested the car seats. After I've read the graco atlas 65 review I've added it to my short list. What do you say is it worth it? Any pointer is helpful.
