Took my friend Monday to pick up his ID4 at my local dealer and noticed they had a few new 24' SEL peaks that piqued (pun intended) my interest as they are heavily discounting them with $10k off to start. We currently have a 22' SELp vr6 Atlas with 40k miles and thought about trading if the numbers work out. I do understand that I'll be missing some features like the 360 cam, fender audio with sub(although the 24s equivalent trim came with HK), park assist, etc but will be gaining some new features in the 24 and of course new fascia and with the peak edition cladding. I do see that there is still a recall on camera and infotainment software update that needs to be done but will be requesting that to be completed if I go through with it prior to me taking the car. But thoughts on just that switch from VR6 to EA888 GTI engine. Any input is welcome but it is the big discount that has me intrigued. Also it looks like the peaks for 25 is it's own trim and looks like the equivalent of the se tech from previous MYs which are missing some features from the 24 sel peak. TIA

We have a 2024 Peak Edition SEL. Bought in Jan 2025 with a nice discount even then. I was just lucky as I didn’t know that the 25 Peak Editions would not be offered in SEL. The power passenger seat would have been missed.
FYI ours is already at 15000 miles and has been great. No issues.
Our previous vehicle was a 2015 Audi Q7 TDI. That was a great long distance cruiser but the Atlas is better around town and on a long drive Travel Assist is a useful aid that the Audi didn’t have.

NICE! Add roof bars and it’s a twin to ours.
the grey is a great color. Doesn’t require frequent washing to look clean.
Yes, I took it off from our '22 Atlas. Just getting it PPF, ceramic, and tinted at the moment. Going on a road trip this weekend to stretch her legs hehe! I'm just bummed about the sidesteps. Would've completed the rugged look. Plus it really helps my wife and mom to get in. VW should just get the techs to move the approach module somewhere else so they can install the steps

Congrats! I tried to like the 2.0 engine on the newer models as well as the infotainment but I felt they were both a step backwards. Its not that the 2.0T isn't powerful, on the contrary it always felt eager but the VR6 was more effortless and silky smooth. Other than that the newer Atlas is hands down more premium feeling, I always felt the older Atlas models had too many hard plastics.

Welcome to turbos! I had 2 N/A V8 Ford Expeditions. I was a bit skeptical when I bought the 2017 3.5 V6 turbo Expedition..well it was so much better than the previous. I had to downsize...not my choice....and our 2024 VW Peak Edition SE that I bought a year ago is great. At 71 years of age, the infotainment stuff has been a bit intimidating, but 17,210 trouble free miles later, towing about 3800# about 25% of the time...
