Are you pressing the handle to unlock the doors if so all you are doing is relocating them. You have to grab the handle as if you're opening the door for them to unlock. At least that how my 23 works
2023 Atlas R Series Will no longer unlock
So I've owned my Atlas for 31 days. Touch the door handle and it locks and unlocks. This morning I touch and no unlock, instead the horn beeps! I try again, the I go get the other Fob. Same results. I use the unlock button on the Fob and the doors unlock! Press the button on the door handle, and all the doors lock as they should.
Try again to unlock by pressing on the door handle, and nothing happens other than the car horn beeps!
I go to my trusty dealership. Service writer looks at me like I am crazy. I hand him the Fob, and smile when he attempts to unlock, and the horn beeps! He tries all 4 doors. Same result. Unlocks with the Fob button. Works fine. Locks by touching handle. All doors lock. Attempts to unlock touching handle. Horn beeps, doors stay locked!
Schedules service appointment for me for next week. Says he has never seen this issue before.
Anyone have this issue? Less than 1,000 miles on the car!

I do pull the handle, and for 35 days it unlocked exactly as it is supposed to do. Then suddenly it stopped working. I have an appointment at the dealership this Thursday, after the service manager could not get it to work either. Interestingly enough, it locks fine. It just won't unlock now. No, but BTW 99% of the time when you go to the dealer with almost ANY issue and it may even be a known issue a issue they are about to announce a GIANT recall on.. they will look at you like youre NUTS and say... how do I know this...that door harness issue of a year back... they told me...ive never heard of this before... came here looked it up and saw it was a KNOWN issue... yet VW guys had never heard of it lol..
And I did go out and check and our 2021 handles are working as they should when you try to just use the auto feature with the keys on you but not hitting the unlock on the fob just using the handles to try to do it..
