In their latest Atlas commercial, Volkswagen highlights their line of vehicles that will grow alongside your family. It’s not the typical story with ballet lessons and soccer practice. No, the latest commercial shows us another facet of parenthood that we don’t usually see.
Titled “Luv Bug”, the 60 second clip shows us how the brand grows with the average family. From the iconic Volkswagen Beetle that can comfortably fit two passengers, to the Jetta sedan after re-enacting “The Birds and the Bees”, then Tiguan and finally the Atlas.
Vinay Shahani, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Volkswagen of America told autoevolution; “we are excited to debut the Atlas with an ad campaign that celebrates our heritage and journey, alongside that of our American consumers.”
With each successive car shakedown, the family grows and trades in their previous vehicle for a larger one until they finally get the 2018 Atlas. Featuring three rows of seats, the SUV has no problems fitting the family of five and one large dog. Not a bad option for a family hauler, especially with prices ranging between $30,000 and $48,000.
Those who are looking for a large family SUV will purchase the Atlas regardless of the ad. But if nothing else, the commercial is certainly memorable.
